Malayalee Association of the U.K. (M.A.U.K.) is a charity organisation in Manor Park, Newham. We have been serving the local community since 1974 and has been at the forefront of providing multiple social and cultural activities. M.A.U.K is also the first and one of the largest and leading Malayalee community organisations in the UK with an impressive and pedigreed record of serving the evolving needs of the Malayalee community over many decades. Chenda Melam: Composed by Vinod Navadhara Chenda Melam literally means drum festival. Chenda is the personal pride of Kerala, which stands first among the percussion instruments. Chenda is one of the 18 traditional instruments of Kerala, including Shankh, Chengila, Edakka, Thimila and Shuddha Madhalam.
